I'm Aaron Taveras, an independent geospatial professional and award-winning cartographer based in Reno, Nevada. Since 2012 I've been designing and producing high-quality custom print and interactive maps for nearly every industry and application, from outdoor guidebooks and company reports to academic journals. I have worked at all levels of government, coordinated multi-agency assignments, and designed maps for non-profits and private companies of all sizes. Specifically, I have had the pleasure of working on cartographic projects for National Geographic Maps, Stackpole Books, and the University Press of Kansas, to name a few. Lastly, I have spent my career immersed in the outdoor recreation and natural resource industries, designing hundreds of trail maps and conducting geospatial analyses for numerous natural resource applications.

At my core, I am a geographer, using this unique lens to understand space, place, and human-environment interactions. As a geospatial professional, I try to apply my passion for geography, designing solutions and creating graphics that help people understand our world and make better decisions. Throughout my career, I have remained devoted to quality design and gained valuable experience in project management, leadership, and technical problem solving, recognizing that any good mapping solution requires more than an creative touch. Beyond my work, I am an avid climber, skier, and general lover of the outdoors.
